Ford Foundation Office – Nigeria
The building is designed as a two-storey reinforced concrete frame structure with a superstructure of concrete columns supporting the roof steelworks. The pyramidal roof of corrugated aluminium sheeting includes a skylight at its apex. The ground floor provides accommodation for utility and meeting rooms and a staff canteen, and is partitioned by block wall. A mixture of cellular offices and open-plan work spaces is provided in an atelier-type environment on the first floor. Internal partitions here are made from aluminium-framed gypsum plasterboard and glass.
